Our History

The Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club was orginized in 1972 by Kermit Anderson, Larry Oakes and Roger Tell. Kermit and Larry are still active in the club today. The club is a non profit orginization who’s purpose is to uphold and encourage the collection and preservation of antique, classic and special interest automobiles. We meet monthly in the winter months and host a weekly cruise night every Thursday evening May through September. We held our first carshow in 1983 this annual event is our major fundraiser. The carshow has grown into one of the Premier northern Minnesota Car Shows and is held at the Beautiful Bemidji High School. We have facilities for our show that no one else has. We have paved parking for over 250 show cars indoor and outdoor vendor and swap meet areas, a used car corral, and an air conditioned comons area and seminar facilities. We have always donated proceeds from our carshow to area non profit organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, First Responders, North Country Hospice, Bemidji area Food Shelf, and many others.
